Finally got shot of my Merc this week (albeit its not been collected yet), so the hunt has begun for a suitable replacement.
I decided that I wanted an E46 BMW convertible, and I have been to test drive a few in the past few weeks.
I found a perfect example of what I wanted about 50 miles away, so chanced it and set off with the missus at half 5 tonight.
Its only a 325 sport, with black roof and black leather, and in an ideal world I would prefer the 330 sport, but this is plenty enough for the minute.
Test drive...not blistering, but sounded really good, picked up well and was very smooth and refined? Held the road well.
I was hoping to leave a deposit tonight, but sense prevailed, and im going to sleep on it.

Top end of what im really wanting to spend.
Its sizeable....
I couldnt fault it really. Only gripes were 1 un-matching tyre (cheapo kuhmo on the rear), and the brake discs looked worn.
But it was backed up with a Full BMW service history and a clean HPi report.

Looking nice mate, i've got a 52 plate 318Ci M sport and i love it. I've heard the 325 is a smoother run than the 330 anyway, although the 330 is a bit faster. Get yourself over to bmw-land.co.uk

trader was willing to let it go for trade price, which sadly wouldnt cover tyres or break replacement , although it was £500 off?? reckon I might bargain with him and see what he can do
Im hoping to give the seller a decision tomorrow, but im paranoid on missing it

must be a bit of bargaining......so the price it's going for is lower than the value?

Byron,
I don't know why you did'nt get the BMW after you got rid of the astra..
You always said around this time last year you wanted the BMW!
I have fell in love with my next door neighbours BMW 330ci sport, red nappa leather, interior carbon fibre extra's and harmon stereo upgrade.. It's soo nice..
Get one in Silver Grey.. such a nice colour..

Manual is my preference, but the auto/tiptronic box is pretty good.
We shall see.

A few 'build quality' issues. Last week the stereo died. Had a new one fitted. 1 week after getting it, the door trims came away from the frame of the door.
Its a comfy refined car. But its not what I want.
Looked at scoobys, and the like, but there is more cons than pro's in my eyes.
With the BMW its got everything im after.
