I recently de-badged my car by pouring hot boiling water from a kettle 2 make it easier to get the badges and i've got them off ok but its left with the adhesive deposits on the boot. and the worst thing of all its red and it shows where the old badges used to be. and its streaked a bit. wots the best way of getting rid of the adhesive deposits of and the streaks....?
please help me.....!

Wax for the glue and T-Cut if the paint is discoloured.

Any body wax if there's not much glue there. If there's more you can also use tar remover but be careful as thats slightly abrasive. Petrol will do it as well, just make sure you rinse it properly.

At work we remove them, then use a caramel wheel in a drill to remove the adhesive, then usually it would get painted anyway becuase if they were coming off, it would be repaired and new ones would go back on, so i guess you could just t-cut it, but Red is a color that fades a lot, needs a lot of looking after
