Cosmo - how did defense play?

Thought we played well, as I think people are forgetting how good a team Arsenal can be and are just going through a rough patch. Wouldnt of said it was a dull game at all.

The whole team played well. Hyypia gave a few balls away when he was trying to pass it out of defence, and Riise didnt look to confident in defence as normal but handled things well. Sissoko had a great game, was all over the place putting tackles in and even managed not to get booked

MOTM was probably Kewell, has played so well in the last 5 or so games and was great again last night!

Great stuff wish i watched it now

I mainly asked about defence as hypia has been a bit suspect at times lately, as riise can be, think hypia will be lucky to get another full season.

Can't believe the change in Kewell, looking like his leeds days finally

Yeah, had thought that about Hyypia myself, is looking even slower than previous seasons! He'll use him for the rest of this season while Agger gets settled then think it'll be Carra and Agger starting next season. Plus we've just signed that Paletta who is meant to be a good young central defender.

Kewell is playing his best football in a Liverpool shirt no doubt about it. He isnt just running at people but trying to win balls in the air and on the deck. Plus can tell he is full of confidence as is willing to shoot from anywhere!

Yep exactly same thought although not heard much about that Paletta.....

Not sure about kromkamp, don't wana judge too early but he doesn't look much kop

It's great seeing kewell going for 50/50's a bit more now, like he's assed about us winning, he's one of the main reasons we've been having so many of those chances, sissoko I think is a great player for the future of the midfield aswell, he's obviously still a little irrate at times but he seems to be learning slowly
