I went on holiday to cuba about 6 years ago ... stayed one week in the capital havanna and 2 weeks at a beach resort, can't remember the name

had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone. if you go into the cities it's like being in a time warp because they are stuck in the 1950's, all old cars and stuff

most of the time we spent on the beach once we got to the resort but it's well worth going on trips to cigar factories etc

KNow a lot of people who have been there, always recommend it UNLESS you need to travel to the US shortly after because you can have trouble getting in if you have a recent Cuba stamp

The FD at my last company went to Russia on business in August... then went on holiday to Cuba a month or two later then in the December he flew to the US for a very very important meeting... he was promptly arrested at the gates of Dulles airport Once they had decided that a big fat 55 year old Scotsman posed them no threat he was sent on the next plane home

He wasn't allowed back in for 6 months and he recekoned he had been watched a few times in that time :S :S Very freaky

Yea, I think the main issue was because they were both from the same year and I had only gone to Canada for 3 days the second time... Well according to the border control Police. This was at 3am during a 10 hour Greyhoud trip too
