Set about changing t'clutch. All was going well until the time came to extract the input shaft... never seen one as tight ever

Then for what ever reason i started the car with the clutch compression clips in place (had had a few beers at this point)... they're now firmly stuck in the bellhousing, rattling around

Whilst i was under there i noticed that the sump gasket is about as good as blotting paper and the oil filter is leaking too. Oh goody, ive got 500 odd miles to drive later this week

sort of like a bang... then metal bouncing off the floor, one clamp escaped (in a fashion)
