Was actually ''Way of the Dragon'' sometimes known as ''Return of the Dragon''

Presumably they were good mates and Chuck was doing Bruce a favour by allowing him to pretend to beat him in a fight in a film in order to further his career.

Obviously he could have effortlessly killed him with a roundhouse face kicking combo in real life.
