Though I can understand why they do it. A levels are the most pointless qualification ever, especially if you're not going to Uni. I guess they have to pay people do to them otherwise no one would bother.

that £30 a week can be your car insurence or a full tank of petrol a week. i think its wrong that they are willing to now pay kids to learn. they should think well if i dont learn and try hard then i wont get very far.

I was entitled to this at college, i got it for the first year and couldnt be bothered to re apply for it the 2nd year, worked about 30-35 hours as well as full time at college, paid for my car, insurance and petrol and going out
Now i'm at uni, doing a course in car and product design and none of my mates could be arsed to go to uni, most wasted 2 years at college and they moan about their 9-5 jobs already, great!
They keep saying to me i'm gonna be upto my eyes in debt but it's going to be worth it, i'm not gonna follow my mum and dads choice doing jobs they absolutely hate their whole lives.
I'll have borrowed around 15k once i've finished my course
Oh and i'm paying the ultimate price, i dont have a car anymore

Apparently it's ok to be an idiot though. Self improvement is non-existant.

I have never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever met anyone that has gone to Uni and actually done anything remotely related to what course they done at Uni.
In most cases they go to Uni for 5 years after they leave school, doss around rack up loads of debt, come out of Uni with no understanding of the real world and no experience and end up doing what I was doing 5 years ago, whilst in that time I have worked my way up the ladder and got myself some vital experience.
9 times out of 10 when applying for a job a employer will go for experience over grades or diplomas or whatever the fcuk you get for further education

Oh yea, there are loads of ways of going about things. But then there are a lo of jobs which require a degree to do. I mean they're not going to let you become a Doctor because you have worked your way up the ladder from being a porter in the hospital...

No no, thats what I mean when I say 'most' cases.
If your going to be a doctor, nurse, vet, teacher, lawyer its worth it.

The payment should only be made if her attendance is 100% for that week, and the bonus only if its that good for the term aside from authorised absences of which there can be a maximum of four in any one term.
Bonus is also behaviour/work related and discretionary by the tutors.
