Ive just been out and was on a 60mph road in my car and was goin about 50mph went to change to 4th and hit 2nd and my car just cut out and now won't start, ive just got it towed home, anybody know whats up with it ? My mates dad says its a sensors or something like that thats gone??
Its a 1.4 8v SRI if thats any help.

Could be anything without seeing it!
Could have thrown the cambelt off!

ive had a pro look at it and its not good  £180 to fix ive bent valves on it

Did the cambelt go?... i hit 1st from 4th in my 8v sri... it cut out, left it about 5 mins then started it by pumping the gas
rpm counter bounced off the stop peg
