Stand for?
m ?
Boost
Controller
that rights, what the M, reading on the volvo sites and standard boost for the T4 is 0.9 bar but safe and easy to turn it up to 1.1 bar without any problems. Need a MBC and boost gauge, got the gauge, what about the MBC.
Instead of looking like an idiot on there thought i would do it on here
Prices and where to buy?

been reading up and all the volvo boys say they work well, don't leak or adjust thereself..Takes a wee bit to set it up exactly to what you want etc.
got the boost gauge there to watch the pressure if anything untoward did happen
digi ones are hundreds are they not?

don't agree with that Ed, maybe if you are stupid and wind it up to far..
You can be sensible with them, would only be upping from 0.9 bar 1.1 bar which i'm assured is safe for the T4 in standard form. This is coming from alot of owners all over the world.
Not going to go daft...If i am just going to up it slightly is it really worth spending hundreds on a electronic one? Not going to be pissing about with it constantly. And the boost gauge is fitted already where i can monitor the boost..

putting non electronic control on means the car will boost a low on partial throttle. your mpg will go down, your inlet temp will go up and if your rad is not in tip top condition the coolent temp will rise a lot. personally its not worth it mav.

agreed.
mate did a MBC on his gt, as 1 of the first mods. boost used to go up to 18psi instead of 13 when he pushed it a bit hard. much more worth spending some more to get an electronic 1

It's a non electronic control on a electronicly controlled engine. You would have to keep on adjusting the bleed valve to safely use it to prevent your engine going bang bang. If you want to up the boost do it properly or suffer the conciquences...

dont be scared mav and get it on!
maybe get a larger fuel pressure regulator to match the extra boost!
