Basically, my mate wrote off his K reg Corsa 1.2 merit. The front left side is totally screwed, but the rest of the car is fine.

Just wondering if there would be any demand for the parts and if it would be worth buying? He will let me have it for cheap (£60), realistically what should I be paying?

Is there enough demand for the parts? The engine? There's a few parts I could take for mine, for £60 I can't really go wrong?

I paid 30 quid for a colour coded 2nd hand rear bumper the other week, you'd easy get 60 quid back for parts.............. or smooth boot yourself and badboy bonnet and im sure someone on here would have them.

1.2 engine is worth peanuts. but you'll make your money back in interior and body parts etc.
too much effort for most people though

doubt it mate, not a 1.2 8 valve. Most people want rid of them not to buy one. For £60 i dont think you can go wrong, strip everything and put it on ebay you should make the £60 back easily.
As someone said if your handy enough do a badboy bonnet and a smooth boot and they will sell for quite good money.

if you have the space and there bits on there that are worth a few quid then do it

most scrappys wont take just a shell btw
as none round my area will, so i have to get the shell to the scrappy

Offer him £50 then get as much off as you can and stick it on ebay

Next day ask around the Vaux sites if anyone needs parts

Spend rest of the day getting more stuff off

See if you can sell the shell for scrap metal
