I've got a small chip in my windscreen (smaller than a 5p coin) and want to get it repaired ASAP
Is this windscreen repair kit any good (will it do be easy to do) or should I just save the money and get it done by a pro??
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10151&productId=203049&categoryId=31336
Cheers Guys

Sorry for bringing this thread back but will this be easy to do, and will it work out any cheaper using this kit (or similar) than getting it done by a pro?? bearing in mind its only a small chip

how much is the kit? as most pro places like auto windscreens will do the chip for £25-£30 and at least you know its a proper job!

the kit is £30 but it'll do 5-6 repairs (driving about 250-350 miles a week so car gets alot of wear) - windscreen isnt covered on insurence btw so thats not an option

you dont have to have glass cover to get it repaired! most Auto windscreen places will repair the screen for you cash up front!
personally id take it to them! and theres no point getting the kit that can do 5 or 6 repairs as you are only allowed 3 repairs per windscreen before you have to have it changed anyway!
just my opinion like but id get a pro to do it!
