apparently, the ideal inlet length on an x16xe is 420mm. (peak of 7500rpm)

distance from the face of head to valve = 55mm

so including the inlet manifold and bodies and trumpets, 365mm is perfect.
bodies are about 120mm
manifold is about 100mm
so 145mm trumpets are ideal.
