Mate of mines been braggin how fast his 1600 focus zetic is sinse he got it its on a w.He wouldent beleive tht a 1400 rover 414 would kick his ass by more than a car length on a 1/4 mile.So we raced on private land last night and i proved him wrong.

Turn ya heaters off boy cos ya chocking on my fumes

He even started earlier than me, and i still caught him up and past him and he was red lining it....Tell ya, these blooys twin cams dnt half kick up some torqe at 5000 revs

414 is quoted at 104bhp focus 96bhp i think but the focus is alot newer and the rover is prob only in the 90's as its so old

Its hardly confusing, a 414 rover will weigh considerably less than a newer 1.6 Focus. Power to weight, plus as you just said 414 has more BHP so really it should win.

But in the end, you're still driving a Rover 414 while he's got a Focus. I know which I'd rather have.
