Hi Guys,

I want to get some as much prep work done myself as I can before I send my car off to be reprayed.

First job will be removing the side skirts, arches, bumpers and preparing them.

What grade sand papers would you use, and how would you go about it?

Can anyone suggest a good site maybe with a guide?

Cheers

rub stone chips out with id say p120 grade and then feather until ur happy

i did mine recently and just stated off with course papers and worked my way up to p1200 grade on all worked areas

How does that concept work. Surely if you never try something you will never learn.

Yepp, you basicly want all the chips out, the main paintwork can be keyed using some Scotchbrite pads, then the bodyshop will clean the car when it's with them with some pannel prep.
