To buy a return flight than a one way flight? Surely its reverse logic or something?

ps on a similar note,

i bought a new electric drill for 60 quid

i asked the bloke for a spare battery and he gave me one, saying these were 80 quid

i questioned him, and he said the price was right, so it worked out 20 quid cheaper to buy a 2nd drill just for the battery to be used as a spare, and also get a free spare drill, case, and everything else

Just don't turn up. You'll find that they overbook the flight because so many people just don't turn up for the flight....

They have to turn you away for your flight and put you on the next, it happens quite a lot I think you'll find.
