Whats the deal with this.

Can you phone up , say after 5 months and cancel , and get the remaining 7 months refunded ?

Theres no way its as simple as that , but anyone done this before ?

should be unless you pay it monthly they may charge you an admin fee

i had to do it after i sold my corsa; you basically loose 1month as cancelation fee but diff compnies hve diff policies; should say in your pack

when i payed the annual fee upfront, i phoned up and they cancelled it straight away.

Got a refund for the remaing months.

You should be refunded the unused portion, plus a fee, the details of which vary between insurers.

Yeah they did say when I bought it there would be a fee of £40 , just wanted to know if it can be complicated further.

also usually you have to put it in writing and return the policy
