do it yourself stating what the agreement is and what is involved type both names of parties at bottom and both make signature witnessed by an impartial person preferably one from each person

I made one up when I sold the pug to ensure it was "sold as seen". I signed it and made the other party sign it.
just as well really

can get legal kits from staples for various situations including purchase of goods, comes in a pack with every thing pre-printed you just stick sig's on it and its all legally binding.

To see if something is legally binding you have to take it to court and let them decide.
Depends really what you need to agree on but generally paperwork like this is worth nothing compared to common law. For example prenuptial agreements which may be created to protect your assets from a partner who might marry you for a bit then clear of with half of everything are worth nothing in a divorce court which considers cases according to proper legal acts.
I would aim to be protected by law, not by an additional bit of paper which probably won't stand up.

In law you need to make sure that what you propose is fair and reasonable otherwise the judge will steer to theparty who has been butt fucked!

for a contract to legaly binding it has to have been drawn up by a solicitor/lawer ect.
however if you draw one up yourself, i.e. for a car sale and anything kicks of it would more than likly stand up as evidence
