Got a marketing exam today. Can anyone think of some advantages of using as little as possible distribution channels? Good examples are dell, easyjet etc. Ive put cutting out the middleman, delivered quicker, more channels add value to product or service, cheaper running costs. Any more ideas please? cheers

Control over stock sold. i.e. If a recall is required would be much easier.

more efficient, and cost effective means lower costs, which means they can increase their production per unit or lowere prices. which in each way, by either producing more or selling for less, they gain a competitive advantage, they increase thier customer base, increase their market share, which will lead to more customers, customer retention, customer service, value for money, ultimatly leading to increased profits for expansion or more R&D
gosh i miss business studies
