USS Ranger CVA61 which was used in some scenes for Top Gun, was also used for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. in the film it was claimed that the scenes with Chekov and the black chick were filmed upon the USS Enterprise CVN65, when in fact it was aboard CVA61.
