i had exactly the same choice as you, but i had A3 turbo in there as well

astra coupe - you may be lucky and find a nice one but i found the car way to large for me, and not the best driving experience, sri turbo is a great car, look for some gsi leather and you basically have the gsi!

golf gti/a3 turbo are only 150 or 180 bhp from factory and you will be looking at 70k miler plus for 7k! And also will cry for a revo remap to make it over 200bhp

i chose the clio as its cheaper to run, faster than all 3 cars in standard form, has everything the others do apart from cruise control, and handles like a go cart!

Hope that helps

really depends on your situation!

i have had the simliar situation, but my choices were:

astra GSI MK4
CTR
Seat Leon

i have decided to go for the GSI as it has loans of extras for the same about of money. and it has cruise control, which i do a few motor way jouneys. it has 200bhp and a turbo, which i wanted.

but if i was u with 7k go for a clio 172, or stretch ur budget and get a GSI
