i need my 4th knee op, an arthroscopy and i wanna go private cos i got a lot of hockey this season, need it done quick. anyone know how much the goin rate is nowadays as bupa won't cover me for this leg?? nhs in wales for knee ops is a shambles

Under a new legislation that has now come out you are entitled to choose out of any hospital in hte UK to do an operation not just your local one.

I’ve got a perverted left ear drum which causes me fair bit of trouble. It’s basically a hole in the ear drum. My parents when I was 16 paid to go private for a doctor who also works for the NHS. Now I just phone up and the receptionist gets me into the hospital that day to clean the ear out which is done on the NHS.

It does not come cheap though, it was £1200 then just for a 30 minute operation and a night on the ward.

i was gonna do it diy. have got a little bit of bone floating around my knee joint thats broken off my femur, was pokin out of my kneecap and i could keep it there with my fingers. was gonna cut it out with a stanly till i found out there were pointless silly things in the way like muscles...
