A 6 hour wait for the AA, and a £330 repair bill.
Hows this for bad luck my Alternator, Water pump both die at the same time!!
On a trip to Chav land sales (Lakeside Thurock) I notice a bit of steam rising from the front of the car. Sure enough I had no coolant, and everytime I topped it up, it went straight out of the car onto the ground - Joy. Dear Grandma got me AA cover for Christmas so decided to give them a call. Got a text, only hour wait so went off to look round the shops. This was at 2.45 in the afternoon. Many a call and excuse later a tow truck shows (7 at night). He looks, pours water over most of my engine bay, say "Pumps gone, cant take you as I think your cars modified, and to low for me to take". 2 hours later a flat bed truck arrives to take me home. Following day new alternator, belt, and water pump £330 fitted.
Wouldnt mind but I want to buy a new car. If anyone wants a gsi in good condition with lots of extras and now new internals for about 2k watch this space.
