i went through a lot of hassle, and money doing the xe, all my own fault like, but after the 22-23weeks and i got it back. i had a smile right across my face, allthe way home (240miles) got used to it and took the power for granted then now i got 1.2 "power" and i miss the xe soooo much.

why dont you sell the car u got now, then get another corsa, and xe that, and keep it standard, sleeper style

They get a bad rep, but most people who make the comments have owned neither!

If u mis-treat dont maintain your car properly then yes it wont be reliable its an old engine, they wont last forever!

Lee, the problems ive had are:

Turbo's oil seals went, car ran fine boosted fine, drank oil like a basterd

Then every other problem ive had has been minor (boost pipes perishing due to age) had a small oil leak that was a pipe that had worked its way loose, car runs fine now i have a new turbo and i also have had some of the loom re-wired with nice new plugs

i was same age as you (more or less) and had kitted corsa, had money for xe conversion. Loved the car and had owned it for four years but was throwing money away converting it

sold it then bought a puma which sold to get a FTO

sell it mate, step up the ladder. Get a more respectable car.

not saying yours isn't, but i advise move out of the corsa, saxo, clio range and move up to the golf, audi, astra range you know?

Exactly what I was gonna say.

Fto are more like Shito ... over weight, underpowered, FWD They look a lot quicker than they are.

Get something newer / quicker ...

As someone said, split the corsa... Not seen a pic of it, but I'm guessing alloys etc - sell them seperate and put standard wheels back on and sell the car standard!

Then buy something cool, slightly modern (1999/2000+) and a bit quicker!
