Can i remove my battery and the platform that it sits upon???
mine is extremly rusty (bought it like it) and was wondering if i can spray/paint it? thanks

Its welded in.
Could also be painted in-situ if you prep and mask carefully.

ive got a 1999 sport and my battery tray is removable, there is 4x 13mm pins holding it on, the support bracket is welded on though

i've done exactly that on my 1997 corsa 1.2
unscrewed the battery tray itself from the bracket, which was welded on the body.
sanded it down to bare metal and painted with brush on hammerite..

came up a treat

mine is welded in as its an L reg. i just painted it when engine was out. the rust annoys me

its worth it i think
little details make all the difference,, plus it prolongs the life of your car
brush on hammerite all the way

mine was spray on hammerite in a can. came up well. treated front panel to it when the bumper was off aswell

never knew you could get hammerite in a spray can, interesting 
i prefer the brush on stuff- especially the hammer finish, dont have to worry about brush marks and it looks uber sexy i think.
..and hammered deep green is the exact colour of my car, matches better than the touch-up sticks lol
