Was driving to work today and was waiting for a gap in the traffic to pull onto the roundabout and got shunted from behind onto the roundabout

But the person that did it didnt stop and drove off

Ive reported it to the police and got a witness but what are my chances of catching the person and getting an outcome?

well if uv got the reg of the car, the cops will go round to their property and see the car is smashed and will gi them a hell of a penalty for leavin the scene. and with a witness u might be ok and get out of it

But its the kind of car and driver combo that makes you think that he probably had no insurance etc

Havent got any pics but its a fuked rear bumper and a bent tailgate as i can now put my fingers in the gap when the boot is closed

Dont want to jump to any major conclusions yet as he may have gone to a police station or something this evening.

I wasent hurt at all really except for having a red ear from hitting it on the headrest as i was looking out of the side window at the time. which every one i met at work kept asking about

Im just thankful that the cars on the roundabout managed to stop in time as it could have been worse
