a few years ago i went to court for it, a cop van saw me go thru the light, and i tried to explain it was an amber and it wasnt safe to stop, the two policeman wrote their notes in their book a week before i was in court (6months late) and they had 2 different stories lol and still the courts agreed with the cops and still fined me. so i doubt no matter what u do, ur goin to get done for it

think the points stay on your license for 3 years regarding the "totting up" affair
after 4 years you can have them removed off your license,
and stay on 5 years for insurance purposes.

Well yeah could have stopped as have some amazing brakes fitted. But didn't quite fancy the car behind me piling into the back of me. lol. And was amber, and according to the highway code, it's not an offence to drive through an amber.
