i know a few of my mates bro's who have failed their driving test because they going too slow for speed limit

apparantely its shows hesitation which can mean panic and the possibility of creating a dangerous situation

so if its a safety issue/danger why don't we have slow cameras that pick up people doing say 30-40mph in a 65mph zone???

I think they tried that once on a stretch of road, it was like you 'had' to do 50mph. sounds like a good idea, it'd stop crashes caused by impatience and overtaking.

Its the german autobahn system isn't it, where if you move out to the middle or outer lanes there's a minimum speed for each IIRC, no more idiot doing 65 in the outside lane with nothing up the inside...

can't have camera's for going to slow, wouldn't work. people in traffic, or travelling slowly for a reason would get caught!

agree ppl going too slow are a danger too...but don't think cams would work..

but on motorways ppl in fast lane doing 60 pisses me right off...also ppl see you coming and pull out anyway and don't speed up to the speed of the traffic..

bit stupid though the camera idea as what happens in rush hour etc? everyone is goina get flashed for going too slow or if theres an accident on the road? agree with you though people driving too slowly can be as much of a hazard as people driving fast

they could use the pic to determine how busy road was etc, and then judge whether they making bad progress etc

if they did that then there aren't really any set rules to determine whether your going too slow or not. its just a judgement which means anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time could fall victim to it!

If people are going too slow police will stop them and advise them to make better progress anyway

There are statutory minimum speed limits in this country, indicated by a sign in normal style and type face but with white text on a blue background.

They're quite rare, only ones I know about are on tunnels and bridges.

wouldnt work....

you have 2 roads of traffic both doing 50, these then merge into one, maybe via a roundabout, to keep the flow going once hitting the new road everyone would have to do 100
