law permits only, when power of the new engine is at most 20% greater than the original engine (or the most powerful engine that was available to the car model series).

We also have funny a law that if 50% of cars original parts have been removed or replaced (even with similar to stock part) the car is suddenly a new car and one has to pay car tax

you's have it farely lucky in the uk... insurance companys dont want to know modded cars here... well cars that the performance has been modded on... hence why i'm shelving the corsa....

Wrong!

If the horsepower gain is larger than 20% you just have to pay additional tax!
We have the same rules over here!

However you are not allowed to replaced the engine with one that exceeds the maximum amount of horsepower available with the largest possible stock engine on that model!
So Corsa B = 109bhp maximum!

unlucky! Over there do you have to pay tax on your new car when you buy it, tax on your fuel, tax to drive it on the road, and then have to pay to park on the road youve just paid tax to drive on?
