Anyway know much about this? In 18 months i'll have graduated with a BSc(Hons) Internet Communication Systems degree.

I'd quite like to do something in the police e.g. internet crime squad, something like that.

Does anyone know anything about it? Do you have to spend time as an officer before you can get into stuff like this?

Depends if the department uses civillian support staff. Some of them do, like the comms centres and the front desks in some stations, if this is the case you wont have to become a PC.
