Going to have about £3000 - £4000 to spend on a car by easter. Can't decide what to have. Really like 3 series e36 coupes but think its probably the wrong image for a 20 year old student.
insurance group 15 max.
Under £4k.
Something I'll love - not just any old car.
Doesn't have to be that practical either.
Cheers.

BMW Coupes are fuking badass and arnt all that bad on performance and build quality is superb compared to most, for 3-4k you could get ya self a nice 318i SE
140bhp and rwd fun 1800cc 16v, or the 320i 24v :O but insurance might slap you in the face :/

Thanks for the comments. Think it's got to be between 1) MR2 2) BMW 3 Coupe 3) 2.0 Corsa.

Pmsl Thats the best read i've had on here in ages
BMW have gone down hill until the last 5 or so years,
the E36 has the worst interior i have ever seen, ok it's full of leather.. but falls apart quicker than a whore knickers can hit thedeck...
Performance.. well lets see 1.8 140bhp... but the car itself weighs around 1600kgs IIRC
if your buying a BMW buy an earlier model, a nice Pre 1991 model 325i or something would be better, but buying a E36 1.8 or something like that?? better be worth the cash your flinging at it for fuel and be something special..
fuel consumption in lower model 3 series are horrendous aswell small engine pulling a big car just aint gonna happen..
Personally a Civic or Astra MK3 GSi would be a good approach for a next car
