Just been driving towards a police camera van parked legally on the roadside in the village next to mine. the limit is 30 and i stuck to it... until i had to drive round a lorry that was parked crocked. i might have gone upto 35 to exelerate. Thing is there was no flash (does there need to be one?) and they didnt pull me over. is it guilty conscience or will i be fined?

If u get anything through the post. You could maybe contest it saying "i had to use the accelleration (sp) of the car to ensure i cleared the parked car in enough time for the oncoming car to avoid collision with me"

or something to that effect. they'll have videographic evidence of it too

Camera Vans do not flash, and they wouldn't pull you over.

They have 14 working days to contact the registered owner of the car with a fine/ NIP.

Will they contact everyone or just the worst offenders? i think other people do 40 and dont get caught, i know i was speeding (maybe) but they're worse than me.

You cannot exceed the speed limit at any point afaik.
Even in the advanced driving test you cannot speed to overtake.
