i'm totally shocked!! I knew of the brain tumour but there was never anything really mentioned about it after he was diagnosed.

i think he had a huge crash a couple of years back and was given all clear, then bout month later fell ill and was diagnosed with this brain tumour so he retired temporarily from rallying and was looking to return next year. however, it was only a couple of months back, Robert Reid (his co-driver) was on TV and said that Richard was on the comeback and recovering well - hadn't heard since then that he was ill again. Its a big loss to the Rallying World - RIP Richard Burns
