For those who took there car to uni, where do you keep it in relation to the communal halls, or does this vary. How much space do you get for your car, do you get much time, freedom to modify your cars in anyway?

I kept mine in the car park ... could see it from my window

... at weekends the car park was empty apart from about 10 cars ... left about 100 car spaces of room for me to do stuff in so lots of space really

there is nobody to stop you from tinkering with your car
its your car, you have all the freedom you want.

at my old halls of residence, there was a seperate little car park for each halls. just "reserve" your space by always parking in it. people get the idea.

I'd say doing a project like a let would best be done if you have somewhere like a garage to work in ... keep stuff dry

... I tinkered with my car at uni when i stayed in halls ... never did any major work in the public car park though
