Well Since I moved in with the grandparents (Closer to Work), their combined bill for Water, Gas and Electricity has gone up by £28
My PCs on most of the time obtaining films and software but i didnt realise they use THAT much leccy
Obviously I use water and gas I spose, buy mst of the increase must be from the PC - is this right? As their bills almost doubled

its monthly
However... I've just flicked through their bills, and although they have been paying about £28 less, back in march they actually exceeded my Bill by about a couple of quid - which is waaayyy before I lived here.
Could British Gas be carrying money forwards in anyway ?

Isnt that fact that its winter a possible cause for an increase in utility bills?

I'm think there was a thread about how much a pc would cost to run a year on here at some point.
Or maybe it was another forum.
Have a little search and you might find it.

A relatively powerful computer will be using around 130W including a TFT...40 of this is the TFT though so if that's not on, lets say we average around 100W.
So 100W for 24 hours, is 2.4kWh, which costs around 17p according to house.co.uk electricity prices.
So in a normal month you're looking at around a fiver
