do you automatically just get 3 points or do they look at what the road it was on and how far over the limit you were? Just got my letter from when I got flashed, and i've a feeling its before I completed 2 years of driving, so i'm shitting it a bit now. 
Live in Barnsley, go to uni at Huddersfield and my girlfriend is at Shef uni so i'll be royally fucked if i get banned.

and by the sounds of it yo ucan get 12 now?

If its under two years of driving since you passed your test then its 6 points and you lose your license but i thought there was a course you could do instead of the points or is that only certain circumstances

got flashed in the dual crarrageway into sheff where it turns to a 30 doing 48. 
on Haloween and I think i passed my test 2 years ago early november. So if i get 6 points I will get banned won't I?

not get banned.........just get ur licence revoked and have to sit your tests again (inc. theory).

yeah it's a common misconception you get banned, a friend of mine got 6 points in his first 2 years.
had it revoked then a month later sat his test again, luckily passed and got it back. just insurance will rape you.

tbh how do insurance ever find out about not declaring points?
i once went through a stage on not declraing 3 sp30 points on my license, i had a crash and the insurance still never found out, i mean they never ask to see your license do they

it took me 5 months to pass again, damn waiting lists. and insurance dnt rape you, mine jst went up 50quid

I just got done for 35 in a 30, I wasnt covinced it was my car so I sent a letter asking to see the photographs.
I got a letter back a few weeks later (with the pics of my car!!) but instead of just giving me the option of 60quid fine and 3 points there was another optinon to pay 65 and do a speed awarness course!! Ive gone for the course and am waiting to hear back.
It didnt mention the course in the first letter they sent asking who was driving etc tho!
