i was ill on wednesday (my frist day off ill ever!) so didnt go into work, and today, and tomorrow ive been phoned up by my office to tell me theres no point in going into work cause theres no work to do atm! no bad, few days etc but i aint getting paid for it i think the reason is because the company we work for is moving soon, so for the next few weeks there wont be a lot to do, but after that itll be busy as fuck

Yeah, its being called Layed Off.

Every now and then we go through a bad patch at work and are put on short time where we only work 4 days a week and olny get paid for 4 days a week too. Doesnt affect everyone but still, its not a good sign at all.

If i dont have any work to do i just surf the web and they arent too bothered about sorting some work for me.
We're off from the 23rd of december through to the 2nd of january but ive got every friday in december off and ive taken the 23rd off and still have holiday time to use up

I often have to lay people off after Christmas, because the firms I sub-contract to have 2 annual figure counts, so they rush the profits for these deadlines and afterwards it goes slack a bit, so I'm at home now, when it gets slack I like to keep the lads in work, so it's me sat here at home instead of them
