Hiya i have just registered on here an seems a good little forum.
i have a corsa 1.4 on a m reg plate and want to add a goos system as the standard stuff is crap.
i am looking at gettin a sub, replace door speakers etc. and head unit.
i am just wondering how easy it is to do as its my first car and im not too sure what im doing any help advice in much appreciated.

fairly easy to do a simple install like that

doors will need base plates to take bigger speakers if you want bigger

headunit is a ten minute job

sub and amp is easy aslong as you have some electrical savy

yeah ok thanks, when replacing door speakers am i able to fit them back behing original trimings? and when changing the headunit are all the wires connected with a connector?
and how would i go about taking the old standard radio/cassette out as i have had a look but it doesn't seem to want to pull out

yep i think they take up to 17cm the standard headunit if you are not bothered about it just give it a good yank with a screwdriver
halfords can tell whether you need an iso connector i cant remember

ah good, i didn't want to go thru the hassly of making new pods etc. and as im not bothered about having anything on show id rather put the old trimings back.

i will remember the screwdriver tip lol, cheers bro.

you wont have any problems fitting door speakers as its nice and simple and only involves a screw driver if you buy the proper adaptors. Halfords do the 13cm one which will easily hold a speaker behind the standard pod about £13 BTW

you dont need an iso connector or at least i didnt. the new head unit will just clip in like lego. but you may need an arial adapter to make it connect to your new headunit. i need by an extension for my iso cable though as the vaux one is very short and a pain in the ass to connect if not

over 18,000 members, i would not exactly call it small

for every headunit ive had in my corsa ive never needed to change any of the wiring, its all plug and play

ok thanks peeps, will get some updates etc. as and when i get the mods done. currently getting some funds for the project and hoping to start on interior. cheers for the replys been a huge help.
yeah i never realised there were that many members but Damn tis a big forum lol
