Transfered my Private plate from old car to new car, recieved new tax and MOT through the post, but no log book, waited 4-6 weeks still no log book.

Phoned DVLA only to hear that the transaction has been refused

Nice of them to let me know, been driving round illegally for a month and not known.

Now they want me to drive back down to the 'local' DVLA office which is 2 hours away(£40 petrol) again so that they can inspect the car

Not only that i have to be there before 9.30

Cant you send a new MOT certificate that has been issued after your plates have been put back on to them to prove your plates are legal? Rather than go driving all that way?
