my corsas running phase 1 at the moment, wouldnt mid going higher, something like 3.5 maybe, just wanted to know the reliability/drivability when running this?

phase 1 is fine, nice and reliable, still quick as fuck.you know how it is though, always want to go faster.
just cant be bothered upgrading if its going to screw up reliabilty etc.

Think your ok until you get to phase 4 when things need to be uprated, had several conversations with Lee Mitchell around this so could be wrong

sack this phase shit and do it properly.

Mappable ECU, bigger injectors and fuel pump. Big intercooler, decent exhaust and a bigger turbo...

hey presto

Well i was running phase 3 (the vmax management not eds) on my Cally turbo - i did the fuel pump, cleaned the injectors. Job done - was superb to drive. With 4wd it was an animal on the road. Just enough.

i'd expect much better gains with an ECU map tailored to your car.... i know its more expensive etc...

But i just have a niggling doubt about 'chips'.

Fitted one to the punto though....

Phs3.5 you need a bigger intercooler and larger turbo.

IF you dont want to upgrade your turbo to keep the cost down you can get Vmax EVO5 which is good for 300bhp on standard parts (just larger intercooler and up the fuel)

Its easily drivable! Obviously more so with a slip diff.

I've changed. Turbo, exhaust, cooler, injectors, fuel pump, top hat. Prolly more stuff I can't remember.

I'll be selling my injectors and turbo (incl. manifold and downpipe), and cooler, and back part of my exhaust very soon.

The chips are fine safety wise, as long as you can keep an eye on whats going on in your engine. But I don't think they will get the potential out of your engine that an aftermarket setup would.

Its been 100% reliable for me too, I bet my engine has way more miles than yours too

Also you will need a fuel pressure reg, but that cmoes with the P3.5 kit

That stack dash was best money I ever spent. A real piece of mind. Can't believe I only had a boost guage before. I was lucky disaster never struck!

Key piece of equipment... fuel pressure guage.

Phase 2 can be as fast as phase 3.5.. but without the safety features i think?

Would be worth researching that?
