Hey, im going to be putting a PC into my car, and was just curious would it be possible to be able to display info on my mfd from the PC? maybe through the serial interface? like the radio used to work?

I'm assuming that the MFD works just like a standard external display screen?

This can be done - although i have no idea how!

A guy on another forum im on, created a circuit board to replace the one in their - that displayed all sorts of neat stuff - although this was all programmed to work, im sure their should be a way to serially display things within certain perameters!

If not, then go buy one of the units made by PVD for this!!

xxKPH only shows up to 53 KPH, then it says + 53KPH, unless you have the computer board thing - which you can buy from:

You would be better off buying a more compatable screen and making it fit the MFD such as this :

Then buy one of the readily available serial interfaces that supports the screen
