Not a Corsa I know. Wonder if anyone had any advice?
Hopefully going to start this conversion this weekend! What will need to be changed?
I have looked at the looms and they both look very similar. We have already put in the Clocks, Dash, Interior, Electric Windows and Exterior bits. All we're left with is the Engine!
Basically, Has this conversion been done before? Where can I find more information about it? Will I need to change the Engine Loom (I hope not).
The other thing tht worries me is the Fuelling system. The 1.0 has one Fuel Line underneath, and the 1.4 has 2 . What will I need to do here? Is it a Case of changing the Fuel pump? Or do I need to mess about with Wiring etc?
OK, Thanks for your reply. I've been doing a bit of research, both on other forums and on MIG. Got a few things that maybe you could shed some light on?
We have a Donor Car that has a few things left we can use.
Exhaust System - On Car
Ignition Coil + Wiring - On Car
Gear Selector - On Car
Accelerator Cable - Vaux/Motor Factors
Oil Filter + Oil - Vaux/Motor Factors
Plugs and Leads - Vaux/Motor Factors
Dizzy - Vaux Motor Factors
Difficult Bits:
All Enigne/Gearbox Mounts - The Same we presume?
Fuel Return Pipe - ? Read somewhere about blocking it with a Screw?
Gear Box Oil - Will that require filling? Red liquid came out when we lifted the Engine out. Where is it filled? The 1 litre gearbox isn't an option - It's fubared.
One other possible limiting factor... Is there a chance the engine could be seized? It's been left for a couple of months outside with no sump bolt. Although covered in Plastic. Is there a way to "Crank it over" to check if it's seized before we fit the bugger?
