My m8 just bought a minted H plate Grey 1 last night totally std except full stainless zorst , had a wee blast in it too and it boosts really well for a car of its age pulls really well for a 1.4 , he is getting it lowered(whichit badly needs today ) and a dump valve getting fitted. I have noticed a few ppl on here has had them and experiances with them , has any 1 any advise on tuning or any other genereal info on them? But all in i like the wee wedge

great little cars, similar charactersitics to r5 turbos(apartf from the looks!) mk2 was better. A friend had both had a full scorpian on one, sounded the nuts, and a side exit on the other, also sounded good.
would have one for a laugh could embarras a lot of newer cars

they look odd,
the brakes are shocking,
they are thirsty for a 1.4,
prone to rust,
to find a good one your better off looking for a needle in a haystack
Bottom line.......I fooking love em!!
awesome little cars!

Tell him to be carefull and not crash it, or he will be killed/maimed.
Also, start the rust hunt now as it would be a miracle if it didn't have something nasty and orange/brown lurking somewhere.

if the gti didnt have big rims there wouldnt be much in it, gti is a touch faster as standard to 60
i beat my mates uno turbo up the strip in my gti, when it was standard
