A lot of national sides have evolved drastically over the last four years, even the Brazil team with the likes of Adriano and Kaka who hardly featured in 02, Robinho, Renato, Ricardo Oliveira etc..... Argentina look quite good, France aint the team they used to be and Italy have completely lost it.
So who do you think will win it this time round? (Realistically, not biased)

Engalnd and Holland (as usual) have two of the best groups of players but (as usual) with fluff it for whatever reason... Argentina are a great side but IMO will foul up somehow, Italy/France/Germany etc as said have lost it... Czech Rep would be an outside bet (but I thgink they are yet to qualify?)
So basically Brazil will walk it
Like you say, the kind of players who have emerged are fantastic (Kaka et al)

The thing with Brazil and Argentina is, their leauges are full of Brazilians and Argentinians, England were fucking excellent in 1990 when foreigners in the English game were rare. Now, if your not from outside the EU you aint classed as foreign. WANK!

And the Brazilians/Argentinians playing in their domestic league are all raising their game so that they can get a contract in Europe :S

The national side backs my point up though Roberto, the 22nd player is as class as the person he's a sub for.
Whereas say... England, the may bring Ferdinand off for Carragher, ok he's good but not world class.

In my opinion is one of the most open world cups for years, every team listed up there could win it, all depends how they perform in the actual tournament

Just a thought but I reckon England are in with a shout because we play at our best when results really matter. There is going to be a media frenzy around this world cup because it is in Germany and I reckon that might just give them the kick up the ass that they need. Sven also needs to find his balls before it starts and make some difficuilt decisions about our midfield. If he does we're in with a shout

This will never happen
1) the media hype the team up way too much
2) The team is picked around favourites
3) The team is not moulded properly, sven picks people because of pressure and favourtism.
4) we need a proper formation and tactics i.e to enable lampard to play his own game and not look over his shoulder because of gerrard stemingforward all the time we should have lampard - carrick who imho is a perfect fit.
5) Sven is out manager

i cant predict a winner but one of these teams will be in the final
Brazil, Argentina or Ukraine
Ukraine are the outside favourites i shall back
then the netherlands did well, as did mexico
its going to be better than a lot of people think but as VT says brazil are like chelsea they have 22 players that are world class and picked in 1st teams in the worlds top leagues

dont listen to finchams ukraine banter his team in the fantasy league aint doing to hot
i think football has evolved as well as the teams, you've only got to look at porto winning the champs league then liverpool and greece winning the euros.
every year in the champions league throws up a team that are punching well above their weight be it due to their superior coach, luck or maybe just the players have been under estimated in some quarters.
so to answer the question i dont have clue who will win the world cup but keep your eye out on england this year, they may have stuttered towards the end of the qualifying campaign buth they have the 'strong backbone' that all the pundits keep harpin on about and if they have a goalscorer in form come game time then theyre defo one of the favourites, no matter how much it pains me to say it

how can u say 'no way' they have 2 of the best centre halves 2 of the best centre mids and if wayne rooney or michael owen are in scoring form, england will be there or there abouts.
