Dad just rang me and hes at harwich port collecting some s2000 parts from japan.

he said there is a car transporter there with
wait for it

5 mk1 escort wide arch rally cars, all stickered up
hes taking some pics as we speak!

And then 3 cossie rally cars on a trailer behind, please dont say there being exported just doing a round abroad!


And on the subject - one of my lecturers at uni was the guy that 1st test drove the series 1 rs turbo on the m25 and the a1 at 2am on a sunday night to see how fast it would go,
he was ford special projects manager! How ace is that

was reading last nigth about borham, and how they came up the idea of putting the ub in a mk4 escort shell, and how they took it down to a meeting in 1988 and let the MD'is thrash it up the motorway and how they all came back slightly scared and laughing at how silly it was

yeh hes getting on a bit now jr, but he basically was in charge of the rs project, didnt have anything to do with the cossies though!

I have a friend who was involved in that first testing of the S1 round the M25 late at night... he said it was a real once in a lifetime experience... something everyone in the pub was dead jealous of at the time

I went past that car transporter on my way to work, but that was on the A14 to Felixstowe port not Harwich - they did look pure sex though!
