Got a feeling iv got a ticket 2day cos i was parked in a residential area with parking permits for like 5mins, come back and the was a empty parking ticket thing next to my car, but had nothing inside .

So if it was on my car and some1 has taken it off, and taken the contents, where do i stand?

And do they give u a letter in the post?

The registered keeper of the vehilce (i presume thats you) will get a notice to owner letter in the next few days asking you who was driving the Vehicle at the time.

ALso, if the ticket was issued by the council rather than the police and you fail to return the letter, you may also be prossecuted for failing to give the information.

The council usually withdraw the ticket, then take it through court and it usually ends up at about £180.00. Well it does in West Yorkshire anyways
