Lastnight proved to me that Lampard and Gerrard together don't work.

The 3 Chelsea players in midfield with a holding playing behind them works really well because they play together day in day out in that way, I think Sven should try that system again but this time with Carrick behind them, not saying King was bad, he was excellent and my man of the match I just think maybe Carrick could be even better playing in that postion.

I am gutted Bent did'nt get a game, he brought Crouch on who again was well well well out of his depth at this level and far to slow.

Intresting, when Beckham is on the field everyone trys to get the ball to him for him to cross in, but with Cole and Wright-Phillips playing we have a variation of play.

exactly it produces better football, which means more chances for scoring, englad do not have a great aerial threat so balls crossed into the box are a waste

I thought the midfield looked the most balanced I've seen in a long time, but will Sven have the balls to keep it that way? I'd also like to see Parker or Carrick given a go in the holding midfielder role. King played well but some of his passing was poor and against better opposition I think he could of been a bit of a liability last night.

Yes yes and yes.

Sven has'nt the balls, and we know it so Gerrard and Beckham shall be getting back into the team no matter how crud they play for England.
