Sorry sounded like a rant! wasnt really, just saying there are loads of people in the same boat, this is what makes people who stay dedicated different to us!

yep, have huge respect for people who stick at something for years on end. I normally get bored of my hobbies after about a year.

i was always just steady away, used to be good when i was younger due to being a hard tackler until everyone else out grew me I value my mobility too much to play Sunday league! Half of the nutters are just nobs that should go boxing instead but know they would get their face smashed in imo.
Plus Sunday league offside rules make me laugh every time!

lol thats why i got out of it, i had more skill than most of the players, but they were like 30 year old huge bastards, probably still pissed from the night before, and they would just break your legs to get to the ball. its pointless really, the only way to make it in football is to live in a big city where theres plenty of scouts around.

Has a guy once said when i had trials for Barnsley (under 13's or something :lol its not how good you are, it's who you know. He was right in a way. If someone has had the top coaches from an early age its going to be a massive advantage.

Yep, Sunday league football is just a bunch of twats sliding about, our Saturday league is full of ex pro's/semi pro's and very good footballers who never persued their talent.
