Basically I've gone back to uni and am in my uni house. However our NTL cable connection was cut due to the previous owners cancelling their direct debit.
So I've contacted NTL and our 2mb broad band will be connected next week on tues... 
Meanwhile, one of my house mates had his laptop on and his wireless connection connected to some random connection! turns out you can pick up about 3 different Wireless internet connections obviously from the street.
So I've just bought a wireless adapter for my PC and ta da... I'm online, with someone elses 1mb internet  Feel a bit naughty haha. What should I download and hog up their connection? 
Is this against the law? / can they find out I'm doing it?

The people who your stealing the internet connection from should have a firewall installed Silly billys!
If they don't have a firewall on broadband internet they are obviously idiots and won't be able to find out. Unless they have capped bandwidth and you are downloading shit loads and hit thier monthly limit for them, which would be funny
It's probably illegal, but nothing would happen if you got caught.

Nah it's not a uni connection, I'm not in halls this year - I'm about a 10 minute walk from campus in a 8 bedroom house
Right - time to download some movie's I think
Since it's 1mb, and the whole area is NTL (I think) I'm guessing they have a limit of about 3 GB... should be able to rack that up in a day mwahahaha.

I could rack that up in a coulple of hours back home. Here I have the slowest connection I have ever used, it's something like 200kps

someone did this to me when i first got my router.. i went to limewire, typed in "horseporn" put the downloaded results on their shared folder then enabled some security

I doubt it, considering the amount of alcohol I've been drinking lately. One of my mates in my house disapeared after we all went to Risa the other night... Turned up at 8am the next day with cuts all over his face, no idea what he did

Easy ... I saw some guy go to get a ticket today and they were like 'do you have a NUS / student card' - the kid said 'er... I left it all at home' ... so they said 'ok, erm... just show me your halls key...' ... he pulled out a key that looked like it could've belonged to anything and they let him have a ticket.
