what do i need to get on to use Xbox live? i have broadband through Tesco/BT and xbox etc, is it just plug xbox into broadband or do i need other hardware such as routers etc etc?

You need an xbox live starter kit aswell

And if you are not using a router you will need to set up internet connectio n sharing on your pc. Check out the support pages from microsoft for info
