my brother had the single turbo version GTS i think. payed 3500 from auctions and it came out on an N plate and only had 19000 miles it ran perfect like a brand new car. parts are quite reasonable awell. cheaper than you would think for standard parts.

They can be like any car , if you get a good one it will run well and have minimal cost, if however you start modding it this is where the cost goes up , not just by mods but servicing etc...
Dont class jap cars like other cars.
I.E expect to pay £500+ for an exhaust (backbox only etc...)
£300+ for filters
£1000+ ecu and electronics
So just cus there cheap to buy there not allways cheap to mod.

You will struggle to find many parts at your local dealer as most were imported they werent required to stock the parts.
They arent cheap to run, expect 20oddmpg if you're sensible and when hooning it it will drop to single figures. Parts are expensive, my brother had a GTS and had to replace the alternator which was something stupid like £500

Jap cars are only expensive to mod if you buy 'designer' parts...

But its mostly only 'desinger' parts that fit , you wont find that Peco or mongoose do an exhaust for supra's , skylines or RX7's etc...
